Fruit and Bombs and stuff

On my way home, outside the subway by my apartment, I saw this:

Farmer's market New York Stylez ..Kind of funny (ha ha)...so I took a picture.

La di da.

Then I crossed the street to my block...where a bomb threat situation was underway. Farmer's market trumped.
There was a cop car blocking off the street:

Police tape blocking off the sidewalks

An ambulance - because someone fainted?

And a helicopter circling the empire state building:

I told the cops I lived on that block and they told me they didn't care. "go for a walk". okay.

On Pushing

Upon entering the subway, if an old lady stalls at the entrance - looking from side to side. Push her.

The doors will close on you. It will hurt. Every man for himself.

On Hailing a Cab in New York

Lesson learned @ 6th Ave and 23rd st, 11pm

It's not as easy as they make it look in the movies. Take the subway. Be tough.

The first days..

First Impressions:

1. The cab driver was very nice, we chatted all the way from JFK to Manhattan
2. The cab driver thought I was a boy
3. Security folk at the corp apartments thought I was a child
4. My apartment is pimpin (see view - that's the chrystler building)
5. The subways are like a video game - everyone is trying to kill me
6. My hair lacks moisture but has an abundance of volume here.
7. Everyday at work I feel like a losing contestant on top model.
8. Absurd conversations by people with too much money abound.

Still very excited (see photo proof below)
